The Springing Of Spring

Today is the first day of spring: the day is the same length as the night.  Our late winter crops are doing well and tasting good.  We could use a little more rain but nothing is suffering from the lack of rain.

 spinach and three kinds of lettuce

 radishes, beets, and carrots

 strawberries

sweet corn

I need to get the tomatoes, peppers, squashes, and melons planted within the next week.  So far the critters are staying away, although a couple of two leggeds have hit the strawberries.  Yum!
