New Cousin

The doggies got to spend some quality time with their new cousin, Veddie, over the weekend.  He is a golden doddle.  Very cute and sweet!  They will be spending more time with him as we will be babysitting him in a couple weeks.

Herd? Pack? Pod? Litter?

As I was watching this mother skunk and her six babies, I was wondering what you call them when there is more than one.  Yes, I was out enjoying the evening in the pasture when I came across this "grouping."  I saw them before they saw me which is always a good thing.  I was happy that I decided to leave the doggies at the house!  I maintained a respectful distance and there were no "mishaps."

We have waited for the sun to return so we could dry out.  Finally it happened on Sunday!  Took a trip through the pasture and looked toward the house...

What a beautiful day!  I have to can say it was worth the wait!
